Money Saving Tips Part 3

If you missed my part three, catch up here. And if you're new to my Money Saving Tips, then a big, warm welcome to you. You're in for a treat & you can find the links to Money Saving Tips part 1 & 2 in part 3.

Okay, I know you're a special, important person who values your time and the things you love. Why else would you be here? So, let's get going...

1. Use solar power

Use solar-powered lights around the home to save on energy. You can charge them up by day on the windowsill and keep them on for low, ambient lighting during the evenings without spending a penny on lighting. UH-MAZ-ING!

2. This one is simple, but oh-so-effective...

Shop around for the best price online before you make your purchase. Keep an eye on how much you save over the year doing this... you'll be amazed!

3. Buy vintage.

Sure, some specialist vintage shops can be a tad pricey, but did you know that Charity shops everywhere are full of unique vintage items with plenty of life left in them?

4. Swap items that use energy within the home for items that don't.

So far I've swapped my steam mop, for a traditional mop (seriously underated - my favourite is this Vileda one). I've also swapped my Aromatherapy Oil Diffuser, for an oil burner, watered down the oil and it smells just the same everytime I burn a tea light. So relaxing and one of my favourite accessories to help me unwind in the evenings.

5. Home hack to help keep the heat in...

Okay, I'll admit this one sounds a little bit bizarre, but The Energy Saving Trust says it works, so it must be true... it's so wrap clingfilm over your window panes - apparently it helps to keep the heat in! This is such an important because it may mean you can turn your thermostat down. Money Saving Experts say that turning down your thermostat by just one degree can save just over a hundred pound each year. So, lets get wrapping!

Hope you're having a wonderful day!
